Third Saturday exploring Ireland!!! And never better said, now you will see why… This weekend has been quite exhausting; First, we met with Father Tom Kearney to confess and start preparing the exam of consciousness that the students will do at the end of this experience. Father Kearney explained us all the missions he has attended (Portugal, Rio, Barcelona…) and the languages he can speak fluently. While the students were meeting with him, the rest of us took the opportunity to talk about these weeks we have already spent here. We all agreed that time is flying by!!! At 11.00 a.m., Sarah arrived and we started the English class. This Saturday we extended it until 1 p.m., but it went by very quickly, and suddenly, the bus was already waiting at the school gate to take us to Cavan Burren Park. Once there, we ate the lunch our host families prepared for us and exchanged some snacks. It could be said that onion-flavored crisps are our favourite ones here… We investigated the different routes we could take, and the winner was a circular one about 45 minutes. We share with you the link of the Park’s website so you can take a look around. Cavan Burren Park Our surprise was that we managed to complete the hike in just 25 minutes! Our students are in great physical conditions… But that’s not all… realizing that we still had plenty of time left, we wanted to reach a lake nearby. At first, everything was fine, and the path wasn’t too difficult… But suddenly the mosquitoes and tall grass started to become a nightmare. Some enjoyed it more than others, and some ended up on the ground at some point, but it was definitely the most fun part of the day!!! After this long day, the bus picked us up to take us back to our families. Surely the first thing many of us did was to take a long shower. We guarantee you that we are having a great time here. See you next week with a new adventure to tell!!!
