A celebration and a gym class – Saturday 19/10/2024

Today was a special day full of activities and great moments. We started the morning with our usual Saturday English class, where the students wrote an essay based on a text given by Sarah, our teacher. The focus this time was on creativity and using the grammar and vocabulary they’ve learned. It was wonderful to see how each student expressed their ideas, with some writing fun stories and others sharing more thoughtful reflections. Everyone showed great progress!

After class, we took a break and celebrated Nico’s birthday. His smile when he saw the surprise was the highlight of the day! Everyone enjoyed a delicious chocolate cake, which was a big hit. It was a nice moment to relax and celebrate together, strengthening the bond between the students. Nico was the star, but everyone felt part of the celebration, laughing and chatting as they enjoyed the cake.

After the break, we got back to action with an exciting football match. The kids were full of energy, running after the ball with enthusiasm. There were no winners or losers, just fun. It was a great time for them to play and enjoy the game without pressure.

The main activity of the day was a gym class with games that the kids loved. We started with a fun twist on the classic “rock, paper, scissors.” The kids had to hop through a circle course until they met an opponent. The winner would continue moving forward, aiming to reach the other side of the course. This mix of competition and fun got everyone involved, and there were lots of laughs!

Next, we played a bowling game in teams, but instead of regular bowling pins, the kids had to knock down footballs using more footballs! It was a bit harder than it looked, which made the game even more fun. Each team gave their best, and there was plenty of cheering and encouragement.

To finish, we set up a sports circuit with different stages, where the kids could try different exercises. We had jumping, sprinting, coordination drills, and more. Everyone pushed themselves to do their best, and you could see the sense of achievement and joy. It was heart-warming to see how they supported and motivated each other.

After so much activity, we enjoyed a well-deserved lunch break. We all sat together, had a nice and refreshing meal, and regained our energy before ending the day at the park. There, the kids had a choice: keep playing football, explore the playground, or just relax. To cool down, we treated ourselves to some ice cream, which the kids loved!

Our time at the park was the perfect way to end this busy Saturday. Some kept playing football, while others enjoyed the swings and slides. Everyone found something fun to do, and the happiness on their faces was clear. At 4:00 pm, the families arrived to pick up the kids. They left with smiles and excitement, ready to enjoy the rest of the weekend with their families.

In summary, it was a Saturday full of learning, celebration, and lots of fun. A day where we focused not only on academics but also on teamwork, cooperation, and, of course, enjoyment. We can’t wait to see what next Saturday will bring!
