We began the fifth Saturday of our stay in Ireland with a moment of reflection. Father PJ Hughes kindly came to offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation to the students who wished to participate. After the confessions, the girls spent some time playing traditional games like skipping rope and ball games, enjoying the fresh morning air before starting their English class with Áine, our Saturday teacher.

Following the lesson and a light snack, the bus picked us up at the Old School and took us to Carrick-on-Shannon, where our afternoon adventure awaited.

Our destination was Jump Street Trampoline Park, a large indoor space filled with trampolines, mats, and soft play areas. The girls had a fantastic time jumping, running, and playing together, using up all their energy in the most joyful way possible. After the activity, they were treated to a well-deserved meal that helped them recover from all the excitement.

We then took a short walk into town to visit a few local shops, where the students enjoyed some ice cream and picked out a few sweets before heading back to the meeting point for the return journey to Carrigallen, where their host families were waiting.

It was a Saturday full of energy, laughter, and shared joy – a perfect way to mark the approach of the halfway point in our Irish adventure.

Warm wishes to all, and we look forward to sharing more memories with you next Saturday!
