Hello everyone!!!

As you may already know, summer began last Monday and here we are enjoying it to the fullest (whenever the weather allows us, of course…) So, this Saturday has been really good and it’s been the hottest one since we’ve been here.

We took advantage of it to go to the beach!!!

The journey was a bit long, but it was worth it. We went to Mullaghmore Beach, Co Sligo, one of the most beautiful and calm beaches in the area. In the 19th century, the Classiebawn Castle was built there as the residence of the 3rd Viscount Palmerston, it has around 4000 hectares and nowadays it’s used as a holiday home for the family.

Once we were settled on the beach and we had our sunscreen applied, the bravest ones went straight into the water.
Others walked along the shore, flew a kite, played soccer, but the most fun was seeing Marta buried up to her neck in sand!!!

The water was really really cold; let’s not forget we’re in the Atlantic, and some of us woke up with a bit of a sore throat today, but the experience was worth it.

Oh, and don’t think we only enjoyed the beach. We also had our English hour and met up with Father Tom Kearney again.

On the way home, we stopped to buy an ice cream… We really needed it to recover all the energy spent during the day.

See you next week!!!
